Why we built Soulgf AI

Soulgf AI started from a simple observation: a lot of people want conversation more than they want an assistant. Not a search box, not a to-do list — just someone to talk to while the kettle boils. Our small team writes and tunes fictional companions who can hold that kind of everyday conversation with warmth and consistency.

How we write our companions

Every companion on Soulgf AI begins as a written character sheet: temperament, humour, favourite subjects, the way they handle silence. Only then do we give them a voice. That is why the companions here feel distinct from one another rather than being the same personality with a different portrait.

What we care about

Tasteful tone, clear boundaries and honesty about what this is. The companions are fiction. They are not people, not therapists and not advisors. Soulgf AI is made for company, storytelling and light conversation, and it is intended for adults aged eighteen and over.

Where we are going

We keep the roster small on purpose and improve the writing rather than inflating the numbers. New companions arrive slowly, with long descriptions and a clear personality, so that meeting one feels like meeting a character in a book rather than picking an option from a list.
